Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Birthday by Feng Changjiang was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in October 2003. The price achieved of HKD 119,500.00 (€ 13,248.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 110,000.00 – 130,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Feng Changjiang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Festival in Bali, which sold at auction in December 2008 for HKD 437,500.00 (€ 40,547.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Birthday von Feng Changjiang kam im Oktober 2003 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 119.500,00 (€ 13.248,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 110.000,00 – 130.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Feng Changjiang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Festival in Bali beobachtet, die im Dezember 2008 für HKD 437.500,00 (€ 40.547,09) versteigert wurde.
