Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ladies by Feng Changjiang was sold in the Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in October 2001. It changed hands for a price of HKD 99,875.00 (€ 14,237.71) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 80,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Feng Changjiang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Festival in Bali, which sold at auction in December 2008 for HKD 437,500.00 (€ 40,547.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ladies von Feng Changjiang wurde im Oktober 2001 in der Auktion Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 99.875,00 (€ 14.237,71) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Feng Changjiang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Festival in Bali beobachtet, die im Dezember 2008 für HKD 437.500,00 (€ 40.547,09) versteigert wurde.
