The work Ink Melon by Fantchunpi was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2014. It achieved a price of HKD 43,700.00 (€ 4,064.38), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 46%. Admittedly, works by Fantchunpi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Buddha in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 391,000.00 (€ 37,103.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Ink Melon von Fantchunpi kam im April 2014 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 43.700,00 (€ 4.064,38) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fantchunpi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Buddha im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 391.000,00 (€ 37.103,87).
