Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Homeland by Fang Shaohua was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2011. The price achieved of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 14,349.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 220,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fang Shaohua - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Protection Against Humidity- Protect Your Body Well, which sold at auction in May 2007 for HKD 336,000.00 (€ 31,994.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Homeland von Fang Shaohua wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 14.349,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 220.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Fang Shaohua mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Protection Against Humidity- Protect Your Body Well beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für HKD 336.000,00 (€ 31.994,05) versteigert wurde.
