Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2013 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Deer Under Sunset by Fang Jizhong. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 34,500.00 (€ 3,273.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fang Jizhong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Goats In The Autumn Woods in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 2,560,000.00 (€ 263,559.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2013 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Deer Under Sunset von Fang Jizhong zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 34.500,00 (€ 3.273,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fang Jizhong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Goats In The Autumn Woods im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.560.000,00 (€ 263.559,46).
