It achieved a price of USD 9,375.00 (€ 6,892.88), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by Fabian Marcaccio have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mutual betrayal #2 in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 25,850.00 (€ 30,573.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Para-Portrait Ii von Fabian Marcaccio wurde im September 2010 in der Auktion Selected Works from the Neuberger Berman and Lehman Brothers Corporate Art Collections bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 6.892,88) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fabian Marcaccio auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mutual betrayal #2 im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.850,00 (€ 30.573,63).
