Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Euan Uglow achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2016. In the Day Auction auction, the work Two Others Have Been There sold for GBP 167,000.00 (€ 197,043.58) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Euan Uglow - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Striding Nude, Blue Dress, which sold at auction in March this year for GBP 504,000.00 (€ 573,397.35).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Euan Uglow erzielte im November 2016 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Two Others Have Been There für GBP 167.000,00 (€ 197.043,58) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Euan Uglow mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Striding Nude, Blue Dress beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für GBP 504.000,00 (€ 573.397,35) versteigert wurde.
