In November this year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British Art, which included the work Landscape, Edge of Field 24.8 x 41.8 cm. (9 3/4 x 16 3/8 in.) by Euan Uglow. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 15,360.00 (€ 17,798.90), 54% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Euan Uglow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Striding Nude, Blue Dress in March this year with an auction result of GBP 504,000.00 (€ 573,397.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 54 % übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape, Edge of Field 24.8 x 41.8 cm. (9 3/4 x 16 3/8 in.) von Euan Uglow zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 15.360,00 (€ 17.798,90) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Euan Uglow erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Striding Nude, Blue Dress im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 504.000,00 (€ 573.397,35).
