Auction result well in line with expectations
In August this year Bonhams in Sydney held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Still Life by Ethel Carrick Fox. It changed hands for a price of AUD 23,370.00 (€ 13,945.67) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ethel Carrick Fox achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Market, Under Trees in April 2008 with an auction result of AUD 1,008,000.00 (€ 609,863.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Sydney die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life von Ethel Carrick Fox zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 23.370,00 (€ 13.945,67) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ethel Carrick Fox erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian Market, Under Trees im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 1.008.000,00 (€ 609.863,31).
