Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ethel Carrick Fox achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Melbourne in November 2009. In the Important Australian Art auction, the work Australian The Spanish Courtyard sold for AUD 72,000.00 (€ 43,903.96) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ethel Carrick Fox achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Market, Under Trees in April 2008 with an auction result of AUD 1,008,000.00 (€ 609,863.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ethel Carrick Fox erzielte im November 2009 bei Sothebys in Melbourne einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Australian Art wurde die Arbeit Australian The Spanish Courtyard für AUD 72.000,00 (€ 43.903,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ethel Carrick Fox erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian Market, Under Trees im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 1.008.000,00 (€ 609.863,31).
