Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Art School by Ethel Carrick Fox was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. The price achieved of AUD 8,610.00 (€ 5,160.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ethel Carrick Fox achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Market, Under Trees in April 2008 with an auction result of AUD 1,008,000.00 (€ 609,863.31).
