Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work In the Luxembourg Garden, c.1907 by Ethel Carrick Fox. The price achieved of AUD 55,350.00 (€ 46,009.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 45,000.00 – 65,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ethel Carrick Fox achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Market, Under Trees in April 2008 with an auction result of AUD 1,008,000.00 (€ 609,863.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit In the Luxembourg Garden, c.1907 von Ethel Carrick Fox zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 55.350,00 (€ 46.009,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 45.000,00 – 65.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ethel Carrick Fox erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian Market, Under Trees im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 1.008.000,00 (€ 609.863,31).
