Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August 2008 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Australian admiralty House At Kirribilli by Ethel Carrick Fox. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 40,800.00 (€ 23,816.92), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ethel Carrick Fox achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Market, Under Trees in April 2008 with an auction result of AUD 1,008,000.00 (€ 609,863.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August 2008 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian admiralty House At Kirribilli von Ethel Carrick Fox zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 40.800,00 (€ 23.816,92) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ethel Carrick Fox erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian Market, Under Trees im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 1.008.000,00 (€ 609.863,31).
