Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian rose Bay, Sydney Harbour by Ethel Carrick Fox was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2008. The price achieved of AUD 10,800.00 (€ 6,304.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 9,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ethel Carrick Fox achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Market, Under Trees in April 2008 with an auction result of AUD 1,008,000.00 (€ 609,863.31).

Die Arbeit Australian rose Bay, Sydney Harbour von Ethel Carrick Fox wurde im August 2008 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 10.800,00 (€ 6.304,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 9.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden.
