Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Etel Adnan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in September this year. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work L'Express Beyrouth-Enfer (Beirut-Hell Express) sold for GBP 4,445.00 (€ 4,445.00) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Etel Adnan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 352,800.00 (€ 417,972.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Etel Adnan erzielte im September diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wurde die Arbeit L'Express Beyrouth-Enfer (Beirut-Hell Express) für GBP 4.445,00 (€ 4.445,00) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Etel Adnan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 352.800,00 (€ 417.972,71).
