Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Esteban Chartrand could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in November 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin American Art auction, the work Paisaje Cubano changed hands for USD 17,500.00 (€ 12,861.97) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Esteban Chartrand have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ingenio Con Río in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 74,500.00 (€ 57,149.43).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Esteban Chartrand konnte im November 2013 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Latin American Art wechselte die Arbeit Paisaje Cubano für USD 17.500,00 (€ 12.861,97) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Esteban Chartrand auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ingenio Con Río im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 74.500,00 (€ 57.149,43).
