Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Medio-dia. Potrero en Caoba by Esteban Chartrand was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,768.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Esteban Chartrand have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ingenio Con Río in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 74,500.00 (€ 57,149.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Medio-dia. Potrero en Caoba von Esteban Chartrand kam im Dezember 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.768,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Esteban Chartrand auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ingenio Con Río im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 74.500,00 (€ 57.149,43).
