Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2016 Christies in London held the auction Topographical Pictures, which included the work La Noche. Vista del Arrario Juotea cerca de Sabanilla by Esteban Chartrand. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,768.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Esteban Chartrand have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ingenio Con Río in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 74,500.00 (€ 57,149.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Topographical Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Noche. Vista del Arrario Juotea cerca de Sabanilla von Esteban Chartrand zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.768,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Esteban Chartrand auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ingenio Con Río im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 74.500,00 (€ 57.149,43).
