In April 2019 Christies in New York held the auction The Face of the Century: Photographs from a Private Collection, which included the work Tedi Thurman, New York, 1946 by Erwin Blumenfeld. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,927.77) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Erwin Blumenfeld achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Manina, Paris in May 2014 with an auction result of GBP 80,500.00 (€ 98,937.10).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im April 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Face of the Century: Photographs from a Private Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tedi Thurman, New York, 1946 von Erwin Blumenfeld zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.927,77) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Erwin Blumenfeld erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Manina, Paris im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 80.500,00 (€ 98.937,10).
