Auction result well in line with expectations
The work O Mundo e o Mundo (The World and the World) by Ernesto Neto was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2017. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 22,265.95) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ernesto Neto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled , which sold at auction in November 2014 for USD 75,000.00 (€ 60,299.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit O Mundo e o Mundo (The World and the World) von Ernesto Neto kam im April 2017 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 22.265,95) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ernesto Neto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled beobachtet, die im November 2014 für USD 75.000,00 (€ 60.299,08) versteigert wurde.
