A top price for Ernest Laurent - as previously expected
The work Portrait De Georges Seurat by Ernest Laurent was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 21,250.00 (€ 17,186.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Portrait De Georges Seurat is the most expensive artwork by Ernest Laurent that we have observed at auctions so far.
