Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2016 Christies in New York held the auction FIRST OPEN | Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Ernest Briggs. Here, the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 62,500.00 (€ 54,872.70). Other works by Ernest Briggs have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 74,500.00 (€ 60,255.58) in May 2012 for the work #1.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion FIRST OPEN | Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ernest Briggs zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 62.500,00 (€ 54.872,70) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Ernest Briggs haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 74.500,00 (€ 60.255,58) im Mai 2012 für die Arbeit #1 beobachtet.
