Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War and Contemporary, which included this untitled work by Erik van Lieshout. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 12,000.00 – 16,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 12,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Erik van Lieshout have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2013 the work without title was auctioned for EUR 22,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2015 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Erik van Lieshout zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 12.000,00 – 16.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 12.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Erik van Lieshout konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2013 die Arbeit ohne Titel für EUR 22.500,00 versteigert.
