Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2010 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction THE BAT ARTVENTURE COLLECTION formerly known as THE PETER STUYVESANT COLLECTION, which included the work Dutch Untitled by Erik van Lieshout. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 9,375.00 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Erik van Lieshout - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April 2013 for EUR 22,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2010 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion THE BAT ARTVENTURE COLLECTION formerly known as THE PETER STUYVESANT COLLECTION durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dutch Untitled von Erik van Lieshout zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 9.375,00 und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Erik van Lieshout mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April 2013 für EUR 22.500,00 versteigert wurde.
