Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work VW 2000 by Erica Hestu Wahyuni was worth HKD 162,500.00 (€ 13,378.05) to a buyer in May 2008. This price was achieved in the auction Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Erica Hestu Wahyuni; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Great Africa Safari sold at auction in November 2010 with the realized price of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 24,700.83).

Die Arbeit VW 2000 von Erica Hestu Wahyuni war einem Käufer im Mai 2008 HKD 162.500,00 (€ 13.378,05) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00 um ein Vielfaches.
