Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Kawinan di tahun naga (Married in the year of the dragon) by Erica Hestu Wahyuni was sold in the Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 87,500.00 (€ 7,203.57). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Erica Hestu Wahyuni - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Great Africa Safari, which sold at auction in November 2010 for HKD 250,000.00 (€ 24,700.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Kawinan di tahun naga (Married in the year of the dragon) von Erica Hestu Wahyuni wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 87.500,00 (€ 7.203,57) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Erica Hestu Wahyuni mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Great Africa Safari beobachtet, die im November 2010 für HKD 250.000,00 (€ 24.700,83) versteigert wurde.
