Artwork auctioned at seven times the upper estimate price
The work Ski Slopes by Eric Sloane was worth USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,692.72) to a buyer in July 2019. This price was achieved in the auction American Art Online at Sothebys in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Eric Sloane; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Vermont December sold at auction in March 2008 with the realized price of USD 55,000.00 (€ 34,799.11).
