Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art – Day Sale, which included the work My Dream Bigger Than My Body by Entang Wiharso. It changed hands for a price of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 9,630.41) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Admittedly, works by Entang Wiharso have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Feast Table Undeclared Perceptions. in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 58,050.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art – Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit My Dream Bigger Than My Body von Entang Wiharso zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 9.630,41) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Entang Wiharso auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Feast Table Undeclared Perceptions. im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 58.050,00.
