Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled by Entang Wiharso was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014. The price achieved of HKD 56,250.00 (€ 5,791.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 45,000.00 – 65,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Entang Wiharso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Feast Table Undeclared Perceptions. in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 58,050.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled von Entang Wiharso wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 56.250,00 (€ 5.791,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 45.000,00 – 65.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Entang Wiharso erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Feast Table Undeclared Perceptions. im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 58.050,00.
