Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work After The Agreement: Borderless #2 by Entang Wiharso. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 93,750.00 (€ 9,892.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Entang Wiharso have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Feast Table Undeclared Perceptions. in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 58,050.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit After The Agreement: Borderless #2 von Entang Wiharso zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 9.892,12) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Entang Wiharso auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Feast Table Undeclared Perceptions. im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 58.050,00.
