Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Promising Landscape by Entang Wiharso was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 120,000.00 – 220,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,709.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Entang Wiharso - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Feast Table Undeclared Perceptions., which sold at auction in June 2021 for EUR 58,050.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Promising Landscape von Entang Wiharso kam im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 220.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.709,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Entang Wiharso mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Feast Table Undeclared Perceptions. beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für EUR 58.050,00 versteigert wurde.
