Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Hombre Sentado by Enrique Grau for USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,908.49). This price was achieved in the auction Latin America: Modern Art | Latin America: Contemporary Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Enrique Grau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 68,288.79).
