This artwork by Enrique Grau achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2009. In the Latin American Art auction, the work Pareja sold for USD 43,750.00 (€ 30,971.26) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Enrique Grau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 81,250.00 (€ 68,288.79).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Enrique Grau erzielte im Mai 2009 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin American Art wurde die Arbeit Pareja für USD 43.750,00 (€ 30.971,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Enrique Grau mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2017 für USD 81.250,00 (€ 68.288,79) versteigert wurde.
