Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figura accoccolata no.6 by Emilio Greco was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2011. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,417.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emilio Greco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grande Bagnante II in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 260,500.00 (€ 205,215.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Figura accoccolata no.6 von Emilio Greco kam im Februar 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.417,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emilio Greco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grande Bagnante II im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 260.500,00 (€ 205.215,06).
