Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Teodofora by Emilio Greco was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art including Russian and Latin American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2009. The price achieved of USD 13,750.00 (€ 9,318.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emilio Greco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grande Bagnante II in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 260,500.00 (€ 205,215.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Teodofora von Emilio Greco wurde im Oktober 2009 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art including Russian and Latin American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 9.318,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emilio Greco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grande Bagnante II im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 260.500,00 (€ 205.215,06).
