Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La jeune fille et la poupee by Émile Munier was sold in the 19th Century and British Impressionist Art auction at Bonhams in London in October 2020. The price achieved of GBP 25,062.50 (€ 27,829.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Émile Munier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Sauvetage (The Rescue) in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 336,000.00 (€ 397,397.99).

Die Arbeit La jeune fille et la poupee von Émile Munier wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.062,50 (€ 27.829,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Émile Munier erzielen.
