The work Un sauvetage by Émile Munier was sold in the European Art Part II auction at Christies in New York in October 2019. The result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 134,468.85) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Émile Munier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Sauvetage (The Rescue), which sold at auction in May 2001 for USD 336,000.00 (€ 397,397.99).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Un sauvetage von Émile Munier wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion European Art Part II bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 134.468,85) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Émile Munier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le Sauvetage (The Rescue) beobachtet, die im Mai 2001 für USD 336.000,00 (€ 397.397,99) versteigert wurde.
