The result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 134,468.85) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Émile Munier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Sauvetage (The Rescue), which sold at auction in May 2001 for USD 336,000.00 (€ 397,397.99).
