In November 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work French Young Lovers Mocking Pan by Émile Munier. The result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 80,398.78) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Émile Munier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Sauvetage (The Rescue) in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 336,000.00 (€ 397,397.99).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit French Young Lovers Mocking Pan von Émile Munier zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 80.398,78) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Émile Munier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Sauvetage (The Rescue) im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 336.000,00 (€ 397.397,99).
