Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work French the Morning Meal by Émile Munier was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2017. Here, the upper estimate of USD 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 168,750.00 (€ 150,186.90). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Émile Munier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Sauvetage (The Rescue), which sold at auction in May 2001 for USD 336,000.00 (€ 397,397.99).
