In November 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work French girl Resting by Émile Munier. The »bidding war« ended at USD 112,500.00 (€ 106,513.92), 41% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Émile Munier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Sauvetage (The Rescue), which sold at auction in May 2001 for USD 336,000.00 (€ 397,397.99).

Im November 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit French girl Resting von Émile Munier zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 106.513,92) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Émile Munier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le Sauvetage (The Rescue) beobachtet, die im Mai 2001 für USD 336.000,00 (€ 397.397,99) versteigert wurde.
