Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Emil Carlsen could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work Still Life With Lobster Pot And Fish changed hands for USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,502.06) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emil Carlsen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life With Pottery Jars in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 325,000.00 (€ 278,491.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Emil Carlsen konnte im September 2019 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Art wechselte die Arbeit Still Life With Lobster Pot And Fish für USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.502,06) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emil Carlsen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life With Pottery Jars im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 325.000,00 (€ 278.491,86).
