Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wiggle Manhattan by Elizabeth Murray was auctioned at Bonhams in London in October this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,048.00 (€ 1,937.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elizabeth Murray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Little Fingers in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 437,500.00 (€ 397,041.47).
