Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Parlous Land by Elizabeth Magill was sold in the Prints & Multiples Including an Important Collection by Henry Moore auction at Christies in London in September 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 14,116.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Elizabeth Magill - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Heartland, which sold at auction in October 2015 for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 55,950.01).
