Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fallen Landscape by Elizabeth Magill was sold in the Modern | British Art auction at Christies in London in November 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,210.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Elizabeth Magill have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Heartland in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 55,950.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fallen Landscape von Elizabeth Magill wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Modern | British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.210,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elizabeth Magill auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Heartland im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 55.950,01).
