Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Boundless: Contemporary Art, which included the work Lamp by Elizabeth Garouste. The price achieved of HKD 15,000.00 (€ 1,791.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elizabeth Garouste achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Geometric Cabinet, 2006 in September 2020 with an auction result of EUR 27,720.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lamp von Elizabeth Garouste zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 15.000,00 (€ 1.791,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elizabeth Garouste erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Geometric Cabinet, 2006 im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.720,00.
