In May 2009 Artcurial in Paris held the auction “Hommage à la modernité de Tel Aviv” Sale Benefiting to Amis de Tel Aviv, which included the work Corbeille Reprisée by Elizabeth Garouste. The result of EUR 1,600.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,600.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elizabeth Garouste achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Geometric Cabinet, 2006 in September 2020 with an auction result of EUR 27,720.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2009 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion “Hommage à la modernité de Tel Aviv” Sale Benefiting to Amis de Tel Aviv durch, in der auch die Arbeit Corbeille Reprisée von Elizabeth Garouste zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.600,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.600,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elizabeth Garouste erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Geometric Cabinet, 2006 im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.720,00.
