Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lamp by Elizabeth Garouste was sold in the Boundless: Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in June 2016. The price achieved of HKD 21,250.00 (€ 2,482.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elizabeth Garouste achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Geometric Cabinet, 2006 in September 2020 with an auction result of EUR 27,720.00.
