Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled #3 (from Portraits of the Soul) by Elinor Milchan was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November 2010. It changed hands for a price of USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,712.18) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Elinor Milchan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Crossroads in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 67,000.00 (€ 45,615.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled #3 (from Portraits of the Soul) von Elinor Milchan kam im November 2010 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.712,18) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elinor Milchan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Crossroads im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 67.000,00 (€ 45.615,47).
