Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled (Empty Maybe) & Untitled (April Fool) (Two Works) by Edward Henderson was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,585.49). Admittedly, works by Edward Henderson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work P.I.P. in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,198.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled (Empty Maybe) & Untitled (April Fool) (Two Works) von Edward Henderson im Juli 2017 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.585,49) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Henderson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit P.I.P. im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.198,71).
