Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rocks On The Shore Of The Bay Of Scapa, Orkney by Edward Dayes was sold in the Early British Drawings, Watercolours and Portrait Miniatures auction at Sothebys in London in December 2008. The price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,676.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Dayes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Triumph of Beauty in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 109,250.00 (€ 126,729.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rocks On The Shore Of The Bay Of Scapa, Orkney von Edward Dayes wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion Early British Drawings, Watercolours and Portrait Miniatures bei Sothebys in London versteigert.
